TITLE: Land Technician InternREPORTS TO: land MANAGER
KODA Resources is a Denver-based company specializing in the acquisition and development of oil and gas properties in the Rocky Mountain region, with active operations in the Williston and Uinta Basins. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Land Tech Intern to join our Land team for the summer. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in oil and gas land operations, working alongside experienced professionals in lease records management, land administration, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, organized, and interested in pursuing a career in land management or energy law.
JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Assist in organizing, maintaining, and updating lease records and agreements.
• Input and verify data in land management systems to ensure accuracy.
• Support tracking of lease obligations, rentals, and expirations.
• Conduct research on mineral and surface ownership using county records.
• Assist in reviewing title opinions, deeds, and other land-related documents.
• Help prepare reports summarizing title and ownership findings.
• Assist in preparing and filing regulatory documents with state and federal agencies.
• Ensure compliance with lease terms, agreements, and land-related regulations.
• Work with GIS and mapping software to update leasehold and ownership maps.
• Help analyze spatial data related to KODA Resources’ land assets.
• Provide administrative support to the Land team, including scanning and filing documents.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to gain exposure to different aspects of oil and gas land operations.
• Assist with other land-related projects as needed.

• WORK UNDER STRESSFUL CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH CRITICAL PROJECT DEADLINES AND HEAVY WORKLOADS
• WILL NEED TO BE A SELF-STARTER AND ABLE TO WORK IN AN INDEPENDENT ENVIRONMENT
education and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Energy Management, Land Administration, Business, Legal Studies, or a related field.
• Prior coursework or experience in oil and gas land management is a plus but not required.
• Previous internship or administrative experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Basic knowledge of land principles, title research, or GIS mapping is a plus.
COMPENSATION RANGE/RATE and benefits:
• $18 – $22 HOURLY, depending on experience and qualifications.
