TITLE: PRODUCTION ACCOUNTANT
REPORTS TO: controller

Location: Denver, CO

OVERVIEW: 

KODA Resources is looking for a PRODUCTION ACCOUNTANT to join our team in Denver. The Production Accountant will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of production accounting, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with industry regulations. This position requires strong proficiency in production accounting software, particularly Merrick with a preference for experience in Prodview.

JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of production accounting processes for KODA Resources.
• Utilize Merrick software extensively to accurately track and report production volumes and revenues.
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly production reports and statements.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to validate production data and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and review monthly accruals related to production activities.
• Submit production data to all federal and state agencies as required.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to production accounting.
• Provide support during audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of production accounting processes.

WORK CONDITIONS:

• Work in a team-oriented environment
• Work under stressful conditions associated with critical project deadlines and heavy workloads
• Will need to be a self-starter and able to work in an independent environment

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• 5-10 years’ experience in the Oil and Gas industry
• BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field; graduate degree in Data Science or other quantitative field is preferred

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA, preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in production accounting within the oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency in production accounting software, specifically Merrick. Experience with Prodview is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of oil and gas production operations and related accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and senior management.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities effectively.

COMPENSATION RANGE/RATE:

• $70,000 – $95,000 ANNUALLY
• ACTUAL COMPENSATION OFFERED TO SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE FINALIZED WITH OFFER AND MAY BE ABOVE OR BELOW THE POSTED RANGE DUE TO SKILL LEVEL, EXPERIENCE, INDUSTRY SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS OR GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION
• OTHER COMPENSATION FOR THIS POSITION WILL INCLUDE BONUS ELIGIBILITY
